FAQ about Wool Dryer Balls
How do I use wool dryer balls?
Simply throw them in the dryer with your clothes/towels and watch them jump around! When done, you can leave them in the dryer ready for next time. The balls are thought to reduce drying time by moving between items in the dryer and separating them. This creates better air circulation which can help to draw moisture away.
How long do they last for?
They should last for around 1000 drying cycles. When the balls become dense and hard then it’s time to replace them. They are biodegradable so they’re OK to put in the compost heap.
Can I put essential oils on my wool dryer balls?
Many people swear by this but please be aware that it may be potential fire risk.
Do dryer balls get mouldy?
This may occur if the balls are left in a damp area. Store your wool dryer balls away from moisture to prevent this from happening
